How Trucks are Classified and Categorized
Trucks can be classified into different categories according to their uses. We have light duty, medium duty and heavy duty trucks, Light Duty truck have Class 1, class 2 and class 3 while medium duty truck have classes 4,5,6 and in last heavy duty trucks have class 7 and class 8. All classes are categorized by the weight rating according to their ranges and type that include the class.
Class1, class 2 and class 3 in light duty trucks are categorized in a range from 0 to 6,000 pounds (0 to 2,722 kg), 6,001 to 10,000 pounds (2,722 to 4,536 kg), 10,001 to 14,000 pounds (4,536 to 6,350 kg) respectively.
In Medium Duty trucks, Classes are categorized as weight rating from 14,001 to 16,000 pounds (6,351 to 7,257 kg), 16,001 to 19,500 pounds (7,258 to 8,845 kg), 19,501 to 26,000 pounds (8,846 to 11,793 kg) respectively.

What are Dump Trucks
Trucks are divided in many categories one of them that is mostly using is dump truck, dump truck s are mainly use for the transportation of loose materials (like sand, gravel or dirt) also for construction. Dump trucks are basically hydraulic operated attached with open-box bed at the rear, the front of the trucks lifted up to allow to be deposited on the ground behind the truck at delivery site.
